National Yo-Yo Days June 5-6, 2026
Come YO-YO with us, FREE in front of the Spinning Top & Yo-Yo Museum. It’s a celebration of National Yo-Yo Day, for two days June 5-6, honoring Donald Duncan’s Birthday, the man who made the yo-yo famous.
Ages 8-108 are invited to bring their own yo-yo or buy one at the museum’s top shop to “show off what you know” and enjoy yo-yo free time, in front of the Museum. Show what tricks you know and/or practice your newest trick(s). This is not a class, but a drop-by anytime to yo-yo. Times are Friday June 5 between 2 pm and 6 pm; and Saturday June from 11 am to 6 pm. Families and adults are invited to drop by, too. Classes are offered June 4 and June 5.
The museum’s toy shop will be open with 90 kinds of yo-yos: new, collectible, fixed axle, ball bearing, responsive and non-responsive; yo-yo strings, and related yo-yo materials. Meet a yo-yo player & collector who appears in the book about the history and life of Donald Duncan and has yo-yoed with the famous comedy team: The Smothers Brothers.
If you would like to learn to yo-yo, a class is offered Thursday June 4, 2026 at 1pm or Friday June 5 at 1 pm. Learn 10 classic yo-yo tricks and get a great ball bearing yo-yo to keep! Advance registration required by calling the museum at 262 763-3946. The Yo-Yo Class is $39, which includes a quality ball bearing yo-yo to keep! Classes are offered at other times for 2 or more participants, ages 8-108, appointment, year-round.
